Volcanic activity in Russia
Just like many places throughout the world, there is some activity when it comes to volcanic activity. Russia is actually quite active with volcanic activity out of the 77 volcanoes established in Russia, about 61 of them are still considered active. The most active part of Russia would have to be The Kamchatka Peninsula, which extends all the way to the Pacific Ocean, roughly 4,000 miles away from eastern Moscow. It has had around 60 substantial eruptions within the past 10,00 years. It is considered to be one of the world's largest and most concentrated areas of geothermal activity, with over 30 active volcanoes nearby. Klyuchevskaya is known as the highest and most active volcano standing at a tall 5 kilometers high (3 miles). The most recent eruption here took place last October almost marking it a full year since it's latest eruption.
